Will it become real?

 

Perhaps you have not heard about this yet, but it is going to be more real than ever in history.

 

United Nations highlighted this matter attending to the multiple petitions of their members. In this way, they entrusted Mr. Juan José Gómez Camacho, representative of Mexico at the UN, to reach an agreement on this controversial issue by 2018.

 

Currently there is not common ground with all the 193 countries that belong to the United Nations but he does not give up. However, thanks to his efforts they have agreed at least on three key words about migration, that will lead to a hypothetical Universal Declaration of Migration: SAFE, ORDERLY and REGULATED.

 

More than an aesthetic step to become conscious of migration, he said that this framework is a great opportunity to establish the pillars of this phenomenon, which is based on trans nationality, psychology, diversity, sociology and economy.  

 

We all support this interesting initiative and hope it will become real!

 

 

Declaración Universal de la Emigración

 

¿Se convertirá en realidad o es solo una declaración de intenciones?

 

Quizá nunca hayan oído hablar sobre una Declaración Universal de la Emigración, pero hoy es más actual que nunca. Las Naciones Unidas se han propuesto alcanzar un acuerdo sobre un texto común que constituya el punto de partida de un tema tan capital.

 

Así queda reflejado en el mandato que ha sido otorgado al representante de México, Don Juan José Gómez Camacho, quien tiene ahora la responsabilidad de llevar a buen puerto esta propuesta en el año 2018.

 

Como es lógico, no existe el consenso de los 193 miembros en torno a este tema, dada su complejidad. No obstante, no piensa rendirse. Gracias a él, se ha llegado a un pequeño acuerdo por el cual tres palabras deberán regir el futuro texto de la Declaración de la Migración : SEGURA, ORDENADA y REGULADA

 

Más allá de un gesto simbólico, esta actuación supone un importante impulso que pretende establecer los pilares del fenómeno de la emigración y su futura regulación.
